»ROUNDTABLE« INTERVIEW [001] LARS HARMSEN
Lars Harmsen is one of the most active designers I know. He is a partner at the agency Melville Brand Design in Munich, a professor at FH Dortmund and publishes books and magazines with his publishing house Slanted Publishers in Karlsruhe.
Because that creative output is not enough for him, he is regularly involved in collaborations and initiates new projects himself, such as his book »COLLISION.«
A confrontation that humorously reckons with 10 years of the past, placing dystopia and utopia on equal footing and taking the viewer on a visual journey that sometimes scratches the eye, sometimes encourages deep breaths and with its 320 pages, invites endless browsing.
To discuss the creative process behind his book, I met with Lars and recorded our conversation.
