Web and Shop Design for Fashion Design Studio »LEEZA FIVE« [From Zero to Garment]
PROJECT
CORPORATE DESIGN, WEB DESIGN, EDITORIAL DESIGN AND INTERIOR DESIGN
Fashion is an expression of personal lifestyle, but as I learned through the project with Lisa Rauh, it is also a creative discipline where industrial feasibility significantly regulates the designer’s creativity, while simultaneously offering a broad field of inspiration to create innovation through functional finesse.
The label »LEEZA FIVE« already had a logo. However, as the website design had become somewhat outdated, there was a desire to refresh it.
The website needed to reflect expertise in outerwear, sportswear and lifestyle clothing, and to communicate the comprehensive service offering that ranges from design and product development to the setup, planning and management of production chains. Full service under the creed »From Zero to Garment.«
For the redesign of the website, we first selected a new typeface for the logo and a reduced color palette to ensure that the showcased references would be visually prominent. Inspired by the bureaucratic precision necessary for the job, I used the idea of tabs as a visual stylistic element and developed a layout that reflects the clarity and precision of Lisa Rauh‘s work.
MAKING OF
The downside to small projects is that they can end as quickly as a vacation fling, leaving no chance to realize the future you envisioned together.
To alleviate my frustration through productive work, I continued the design work after the website launch. The reference images were available, so I first designed a magazine, but that wasn’t enough. After some consideration, I reached out to my 3D colleague Lorenz Wiedemann with an idea: »Can you help me visualize a store for LEEZA FIVE? I already have the idea for the interior design, but I can‘t implement it without your help.«
