»BE WATER MY FRIEND« METHODOLOGY

Creativity is not a talent for craftsmanship.

It is the way we view things, place them in a broader context and find meaning and significance.

Creativity arises from the interplay between what we think and what we feel. It brings together imagination and emotion, vision and intuition, gaining momentum through interest, curiosity and enthusiasm.

After a »Be Water my Friend« workshop, you will see creativity in a new light. You will view mindset and intuition as equally valuable team players and learn how to influence your inner dialogue to achieve a creative flow.

Through practical examples and inspiring group discussions, you will become familiar with a methodology that allows you to explore the perception processes of your personal creativity beyond the workshop.

At the heart of the »Be Water my Friend« methodology is an infographic that provides a compact overview of the three tools used to decode, analyze and reflect on the levels of perception—context, process and motivation.

Feel inspired by the idea that creativity works like water behaves. Water that transforms its shape, elegantly overcomes obstacles and exists in a never ending cycle where stages seamlessly blend into one another.

HOW TO
WORKSHOP

Creativity knows no limits, but when you want to really explore it, having a concrete topic helps. That’s why the motto of the »Be Water my Friend« workshops is: »BRING YOUR TOPIC.« All you need to do is pick a topic you want to apply the »B.W.M.F.« methodology to.

Topics from the areas of STREAMFLOW [Bringing processes into flow] and TEAMFLOW [Bringing teams into flow] are particularly suitable, as they offer a level of complexity that invites interconnected reflection on tasks, responsibilities, needs, expectations and goals.

The workshop with Rafael was very inspiring and made me realize once again that in a creative profession, it is essential to encourage exchanges with others to step out of your comfort zone.

I learned to question myself more deeply and to challenge assumptions and processes from different perspectives, even when you feel like you‘ve already found the solution. I took away many impulses and have since integrated them into both my work environment and daily life. Thank you very much, dear Rafael, for this experience.

The BWMF methodology is anything but static, just like water. Calm, wild, gentle, hard, soft, cleansing, destructive, unpredictable...

Constantly in flux, it changes its state in relation to space and time. With a brilliantly conceived system, the BWMF methodology allows for the development of solutions, while remaining as flexible as water. Water always finds a way!

Rafael elevates the known design process to new levels with his BWMF methodology. Unknown dimensions of the creative and organizational decision-making process are explored and made tangible.

Hidden goals and obstacles become clear and are surprisingly easily resolved. The workshop based on the book provided me with my personal operating manual in my pocket, convincing me like a Swiss Army Knife.

It was really exciting to see how your system can be applied to such diverse cases and what a strong framework it provides for creative and smart solutions. It offered perspectives and structures and navigating through discussions with it was remarkable.

I really need to make time for the book. Hopefully, you find a good way to share the methodology with a broader audience, whether through the book or workshops. Very inspiring and motivating!
